Preface

 : Yes, nowadays the movies are not being made abundantly... and worse there are less interesting movies out there. Movies from Hongkong or China are not new or same with old styles. Japanese movies are made from the animations. And the Hollywood blockbusters are made from time to time and also the high standards on the movie of spectators are the reasons that the block busters are not quite popular in Korea comparing with the box office revenues of Korean movies. And TV series are often better than movies... Yes, I don't see much difference between TV series and movies nowadays.  

Recommendable movies

1. QUO.VADIS(쿼바디스) - This is a documentary movie on Korean Christianity. Huge churches in Korea serves money not God.  

 You can see how much corrupted the Korean churches are. I can see the cries of Martin Luther.

Enough interesting Documentary Movie. Need a revolution on Christianity in Korea

2. Inside-Out(인사이드 아웃) - Yes, right. It's Pixar. It has never disappointed me. Another creative work! It was fun and good including some lessons you can learn from it.

3. Get Hard(겟하드) - A small and light racial discrimination movie? Will Parrel is really fit for a comedy movie. It shows a typical white folks stereo type on blacks. It gives some fun factors... How does he lose the stereotype one the movie...

 He got setup by his boss and also Fiance. He is about to get in jail... so afraid of... And he asks a help from a black people because he thought every black should have been in a jail at least once in a life time... Black should know how to survive in prison, which is the thought he has...

4. Barely Lethal(배어리 리썰) - A kid was raised as a spy. But she was too sensitive to be a spy. She wanted to live a normal life. In a chance she got, she pretended to be dead and went to a school. Of course we learned everything about high school life.... Someone who know only how to do a spy and kill people can live with ordinary people? You can see that.

Freface

 : I was so lazy for a while recently. And also stopped writing anything. I was just just tired of something... Maybe tired of life itself. There are many negative points in the getting old... Among them the most frustrating one is... losing interest in everything... There is nothing new anymore... It also applies to a TV drama, Movies and so on... Therefore, there quite few works I want to recommend.

TV dramas

1. 6 Dragons fly(육룡이 나르샤) - There is a historical book called 'Yongbiochonga'. This titles comes from the book. 육룡(Yukryong) means 6 dragons which actually stand for the 6 kings of the Chosun Dynasty but 6 main characters in the TV series.

  There is a very good actor named Kim Myoungmin and also Chun Hojin. Their acting is really superior. It is in the time of the last Koryo Danasty. People suffered from the corruption of the ruling people. In those days, some heroic figures are trying to overturn the nation and build a new one. The story reflects the current situation of Korea. Yes, we also need a revolution.

 Additionally saying... the acting of Yu A in is not quite well absorbed in the drama.

There is a TV series already dealt with it called, 'Jung Do Jeon' but this one shows it in a new way.

2. Yongpali(용팔이) - There is a defined meaning in the name. It's a name for person, a typical man. But here it means a skilled(용한) quack(돌팔이). There are several movies named with Yongpali(용팔이) such as LA Yongpali(용팔이), Returned Yongpali(용팔이).  

 It doesn't slow down the pace of the story. It's not like a typical Korean soap drama. It has some tension and suspense also of course including romance...

A new upper class medical revenge drama

3. D-Day(디데이) - What is this? I didn't expect a movie like quality from a Korean drama, but this one brought it up. This is the biggest ever disaster TV series in Korea. Even this drama shows sophiscated details of destructed Seoul, the mass media doesn't seem to care about it. Even though it is not better in terms of story line and the character details or the acting, at least it tried a new thing as a TV series.

You also need to consider that the TV series release two episode in a week, not like in USA or in UK where it takes about 2 weeks for a new episode to be released. Considering it, it's a remarkable TV series.

4. She was beautiful(그녀는 예뻤다) - A typical soap drama for women. As the title says, she was beautiful when she was young but she met a soul mate again years later, when she was not anymore pretty.

 It's about a common ordinary girl who gets love from the two decent and rich boys... Yes, it's fantasy for women. But that is not all this drama has... It also shows a comedy and pleasant episode.

 It reminds me of 'Sloth' in the Japanese Animation, "the Full Metal Alchemist'. The sloth is one of the Homunculuses. He keeps saying 'Mendose(Tiresome)', while destroying. And also the sloth is one of the 7 sins in the bible. Yep, I think I got in the sloth...

: feel much. The desire for success, money, fame is not like before. The sexual drive still exist even though less frequent... Why? I asked myself. I reasoned out that it might be because I don't experience of threat to surviving.

: Now if I have some money, I can live. There is no worry on the food. It can be said 'a peaceful era'. But is it a good time now? 

 : It seems that the social conditions did a big role in my boredom. I think there are quite big number of people like me. Of course some are in the middle of surviving matter. I see many younger Koreans give up many things as long as the hunger issue is resolved. Because the wall to successful life in terms of economy is so high. They tried but encountered a very harsh reality. They gave up dating, marrying, and so on just because they don't afford. Hikikomori is a term for loner who doesn't leave his or her room... No kids means more free life... and also can be the reasons of boredom...

 : If I was born in the Chosun or Middle ages, I would never be bored. In that era, surviving is everything... Bees and ants, if you get rid of all the no-work one from the hive or a nest, similar percent becomes no-work ones again. No earning means giving up many things but also can enjoy many things. And I consolidate myself by saying that at least I am lucky guy because I am not the one who struggles for survive.
