  So hot... under the hot sun, people live...

 The famous summer palace where concubines lived and played. A story tells that if the king throws an apple and one of the concubines catches that. And then the one who caught gets to bed with the king....

 Bukhara is about 4 hours by car far from Samarkand. Personally I liked it more. I thought it must be hotter and more barren than Samarkand, but there was also many trees and much water... Yes, this must be a reason for the place to be a capital in old era.

: The inside of the train was comparatively clean. And had a TV set and DVD player, with which I watched an uzbek kino which was quite interesting... This place is not that kind of an essential part to understand Uzbek. It has quite different areas and many ethnic group. I can say that it's just a part of Uzbek or middle east Asia or a part of Islamic culture. Actually the border of Uzbek was divided by a political reason, not by a ethnic or cultural reason.

: The water is very important here. That is why the place around the river becomes a center...

 : The culture and the buildings are not that different from those in Samarkand. The Islamic culture is quite unified.
