: If there is Hollywood movie in USA, there is Animation movies in Japan. The diversity, creativity of the Japanese animations are amazing. And the two worlds affect each other... As you know the Wachowski said that they made the Matrix, being inspired by the "Ghost in the Shell". I've seen the Japanese animations from my childhood.
Recommendable Anime
1. Kidou Senshi Gundam - Tekketsu no Orphans(기동전사 건담, 철혈의 오펀스) - Another Gundam? No, it's something different from the other series. Gundam has a long history in Japanese animations. Also got lots of fans in Korea. But I didn't like the Gundam series much except this one.

2. World Trigger(월드 트리거) - It seems that this one also wants a long lasting hit series like one piece, Naruto or Dragon Balls... Characters and the Backgrounds of the stories are very interesting and unique.

3. Arslan Senki(아르슬란 전기) - It's a remake from old Arslan Senki which means Arslan's life story. As a revolutionist living in Korea, it's a kind of vicarious satisfaction.

5. Rog Horizon(로그 호라이즌) - If your cyber world or gaming world become your reality... how would that be? There are several animations made in Japan in the assumption such as Sword Art Online, Overload, Excel World. Like Sword Art Online, this one is also very good.
