: There was another so visible to me in the E-mart. It was a canned Makguli, which is made by Kooksoondang. Wow, what is the company doing? Canned makguli? Yes, I like these challenge.

1

 From the package and...

: The price? 7,000 won. 6 cans in one pack. And 1,150 per one. And what is icing here? Something cool after exercise? An alternative for beer?

It looks like a just ordinary drink just by seeing the package.

It's a bonus

You can carry this like this, like bear pack

Sindangdong Ddukbboki

2

 Now let's drink

Just taken out from the refrigerator

Yes, a vowel is good for Makguli

By looking at this picture, you may not feel but it looks like a milkis.

And I shook it and then looks like makguli

: Taste? Is this the Milkis or Makguli? It is closer to milkis than Makguli. But it's alcoholics. If you drink you may be drunk. I think this would be really good in summer.

Kooksoondang, does it keep the pride for the Korean Liquor

: This came to my eyes in a glance. Yetnal Mulguli made by Kooksoondang, which is quite popular and famous for a Korean traditional liquor making. Yetnam Makguli means 'Old Makguli'...

Personally, I am finding wide range of Korean traditional liquor for which the continuation stopped during the Japan Ruling time. The previous Makguli made by Kooksoondang made me think that Korean liquor is still alive... And this one is 'big'.

The only defect of this makguli is 'the expiry date', which is too short.

1

 The visual

The price? 2,400 won. It's cheap or expensive? I don't know.

Yeast matured makguli

Do you see? The bubble at the neck? It shows a live yeast...

Bubble... continuously made

Rice(Korean), Balloon-flower(Korean)

2

 Now it's time to taste

The cap shows some signs yeast made

Is it normal? It's naturally made during the maturing

I shook and the bubbles continously

: The taste? I guess it should be the real taste of the Makguli. It seems homemade. It's delicious. Clean taste. I have to give an applause to Kooksoondang.

: Doduk is a kind of herb root which is very healthful for human body. But don't be misguided. It's not made from Doduk. It has just about 0.1% doduk as an ingredient.

And today also I came to find a Malguli. It's the today's choice. As you see in the pictures below, it has been in Korea since 1932... And why don't I know of this...

Long history... but I couldn't see this in my area? Anyway, I am going to taste it.

Malkuli in a spring rainy day... Part 1 - Bokbunja Makguli

: Yes, I just went to a big mart to buy Makguli, which is our traditional liquor. Nowadays, there are lots of kinds of Makguli in market. Of course long ago there were more of but now... it's been stopped... by the Japanese ruling....

When I was child, I used to go buy it as an errand. In those times, I didn't have to worry about what kind of or what brand. Because usually there were only a few.

 Yes, now it's different...

1

 Bokbunja Makguli

You see the raspberry, yes, it's Bokbunja

It seems a brand name, means 1,000 years.

The color is different from that of the ordinary Mukguli, which is white

Yes, it's the color of Bokbunja.

The side dish for Makguli? Honey Butter Chips,

2

 Taste?

: It tastes like an alcoholic juice. And I could feel the dust like powder. But it's tasty. I wouldn't notice my drunkenness if I drink more.
