Is there any reliable food in Korea?


It was shocking itself. How much we try to avoid bad food, we finally come to eat bad food because of the irresponsible government and the people not acting out. Even the evident signal of mass deaths of cows cannot change the reality. The responsible agencies and governmental organizations only try not to take responsibility on it. And the damage from it are inflicted on ordinary people who are so busy in living.

Yes, we are fucked up.


I really want to emigrate if possible. I really don't want to live in this fucking country. I really don't know what to believe and what to do about it in Korea. Even the ecology friendly rice had toxic agricultural chemicals. Damn it!


In this situation, how can I eat food at a restaurant.






And also another news report on it by JTBC. We live in this fucking country. The real problem is the people who don't act about it.





Therefore I don't believe the below news.


The result of the testing residual chemicals in rice shows that 99.5% are safe(New in Korean).

Gwanganli and Haeundae in March, 2017


 Haeundae is quite famous place to visit for local Koreans and also foreigners. Actually I can meet many foreign visitors there whenever I go there.

 From Gwanganli to Haeundae



 Gwanganli is a kind of smaller Haeundae. Two places seem to compete with each other... but actually they help each other... But I have to say, Haeundae is the main place.


 There is a paved way for walking from Gwanganli to Haeundae. I have walked through...






 And I found a place unique... had some structure... It's called "Speaker Box" made by an artist, Sharle De Mo. 




 

 The bigger structure seems for showing a movie. And Not sure when it was built there. And there I could feel some peace looking at the spacious sea.


And you can meet another place on the way to Haeundae... And you can take a picture of 'Gwangan Bridge'.







 Right now, because of the THAAD issue in Korea, all Chinese visitors stopped coming to Korea. This is the main reason that there are less people right now all over the Korea.  Yes, considering this, it's a right time to go to an amusement park such as Lotte World. Less visitors means much opportunity to enjoy many attractions.

 : This seems to be built for Chinese visitors. It's showing some movie figures and the movie stars.... 








 And the hand print.... just like those in Hollywood. It's just another visiting spot for tourists... You may find it interesting....

Soto Livestock Restaurant in Yangsan, Korea - The steak restaurant, Part 2


 The Korean steak is very very expensive. Eating that is a kind of one or two time event which an ordinary man can enjoy during a year. It was before and then even now. It's getting more expensive. Capitalism made it more expensive. Due to more imports of steak from abroad, the competitiveness got weaker... Therefore they started to stop producing... And even imported meat is changed into domestic one... Therefore it's getting more and more scarce. And also low cost breeding with using cheap feed made the steak quality unbelievable. 


 At least 50 or 100 years ago, the meat was so fresh and clean, but nowadays it's not. The chicken and also has similar story. And it is important to know that it is much stressful to choose right one.

 Enter the room



 Yes, as expected it was well decorated. It's a typical Korean restaurant. You can feel that there.

  Other products. I don't know you, westerners eat the intestines... we, Korean enjoy it. They also sell that.





 It's cheaper than the mart meat... It should. 


 The counter... and I could see it's quite popular restaurant by looking at the bills there.  



 : And the side dishes. You can eat as much as you want. It's a Korean thing.

 And the room


 : You have to take off your shoes to enter the room with table. It's also Korean thing. And then there were two tables which were divided by a picture as you see below. 





 The smoke drum is a typical meat restaurant equipment. Which suck the smoke made during baking.








 And the side dishes and the meat we had ordered before put on the table. The side dishes were clean and tidy... Delicious.












  It was so yummy. We bake meat over the charcoal. Steak should be baked slight over the fire. 







 It's not a usual opportunity I can meet. Therefore I ate as much as I could. And we Korean orders a noodle or dish again after eating the meat.. which will make you really full. Personally, I don't like that. Usually I eat much meat and don't order any other food.


 The the coffee was the only one thing I wanted to complain there. 200 won is a small money. Nevertheless the taste was so bad. Actually, you can drink a coffee in a restaurant for free. So I felt it's a kind of expensive.


 The sign says "We just sell Korean domestic steak. If it's not the case, we compensate 500,000,000 won(about 500,000 dollars) for that."


 It means you can meet fake steak out there.

 Soto Livestock Restaurant



 It's a trend that a big sized steak restaurant has its own livestock farm and logistics also. You can eat and buy steak there, which gives customers some trust in the meat quality and ensure it's domestic.

 Let's see around it. The spacious parking lot. It's far from downtown. Therefore the parking lot is a basic facility to have.






 And the building is quite Korean. Tourists should find it attractive...

 Go inside


 : As soon as you enter, you will find the packaged steaks displayed. You have to choose meat to eat before going to a room to eat in. Just by looking at the meat, I could tell it's a good quality meat.

 In a Korean way, the meat is divided according to each part. As you see the price is quite high. 








 I am not that familiar with the names of each part of the meat... In this case, you'd better bring a friend who knows it very well. Because each part has its own unique taste.







  

 Fortunately, I am not that fond of eating meat. Maybe I hypnotized me that I don't like due to high expense and also unreliable meat quality. According to a long time vegan, it's not wise not to eat meat at all. Anyway we need to eat meat for good health. The question is which meat is really good for health.
