A Korean's Uzbek Travel by Photo, Part 2

Bukhara is about 4 hours by car far from Samarkand. Personally I liked it more. I thought it must be hotter and more barren than Samarkand, but there was also many trees and much water... Yes, this must be a reason for the place to be a capital in old era.

My previous postings on Uzbek.

1	Way to Bukhara and...

: The inside of the train was comparatively clean. And had a TV set and DVD player, with which I watched an uzbek kino which was quite interesting... This place is not that kind of an essential part to understand Uzbek. It has quite different areas and many ethnic group. I can say that it's just a part of Uzbek or middle east Asia or a part of Islamic culture. Actually the border of Uzbek was divided by a political reason, not by a ethnic or cultural reason.

2	Cultural Heritage of Bukhara

: The culture and the buildings are not that different from those in Samarkand. The Islamic culture is quite unified.

A Korean's Uzbek Travel by Photo, Part 1

: Now, I am not that interested in the Uzbek but... I had been looking over the country with much interest. After that, I came across the photos I had taken...

My Previous Writings

1	Samarkand

This historical place is not that famous among Koreans. Even the name Registan is not familiar. Korean usually know uzbek because many uzbek girls came to Korea recently by marrying or something like that. I don't know how it is in other countries such as NA countries or EU countries... You may give me some insights for that. I would really appreciate it.

: Once in 15 century, it used to be the biggest and greatest temple in the Islam world.

2	Shahzinda and Shahiri Shabz

Shah zinda is a tomb for famous islam saints and kings. Still lots of the local visit and pray. And the Shahiri Sabz is famous for the birth place of Amir Timur. I din't like it much because there was no other interesting thing there...

Not openly spoken truth in Korea Part 2

: Kimhae is a kind of center for migrant workers, especially Buwon, Kimhae. Strangely you can see lots of 'inns' called Yeoinsook in Korean. It's almost every corner of the streets in Buwon, just like motels you see in a city.

1	Yeoinsook, 'inn'

Yeoinsook is a kind of lodging business facility for ordinary or poor people for a short of period. Long ago, I means about 15 or 20 years ago, the inns are near the almost every train station. We have a kind of grade for the short-period lodging business facilities. Hotel is most expensive, and then Motel, Yeokwan and then Yeoinsook. Now the Yeoinsook there is a place for migrant male workers to get the sexual desire resolved. But remember it's illegal to buy and sell the sex service in Korea.

2	How does this work?

How to start: According to one of my acquaintances, what you have to do is just to go in any yeoinsook and ask a girl in Korea. Or if you are a foreinger, the host would notice without saying anything. He or she might ask you if you want a girl or something first.

How much to pay: Usually 20,000 won to 30,000 won for 15 to 20 minutes. About 130,000 won per an hour. Yes, it's not cheap at all. With 20,000 or 30,000 won, you have to get what you want just within 20 minutes. But you can do it several times in an hour. If you consider that you can get massage service including the sex in a massage shop, you can say that it's quite expensive. And if she is younger, 20ties or 30ties, it's about 30,000 won for 15 ~ 20 minutes and if 40ties or 50ties, it's about 20,000 won. And the 15 minutes service is only for the intercourse, not for touch or something else. If you want to touch breast or oral service, you have to pay additional fee.

Other things: Condom is necesesary. It's kind of obligatory. There would be about 3 or 5 women. And you can select one among them or if there is just a girl you have to choose to go to other place or take her. There are many different kinds of girls, from pretty to ugly. from thin to fat. If you are a regular customer, you can select a particular girl you want.

If you travel longer hour, the short battery life is a big inconvenience.

But there is a solution for this if you travel by Subway in Korea.

There are two ways.
One is to recharge in a place where you are supposed to recharge. Almost every station has a recharging station near a Customer center like the following picture.
It is very useful when you have just a smartphone without a cable and a recharger.

But sometimes it mal-functions or the connector is broken or is not compatible with your device.

If you have a recharger and a cable, here is another way which is not supposed to be used for the purpose.

It is to use the power outlet like the following. It is almost every corner at the station.

I use this dozens of times. But never been interrupted by anyone and no one told me not to do.
