Sanbangsan and Yongmeori Coast, Part 2, Yongmeori Coast

 In Jeju, you are going to pay entrance fee for any major tour attraction. This is not usual in Korea. This is why the entrance fee is so cheap... The increasing price is a kind of natural process when number of visitors increase... 

 Yongmeori means "dragon head" in Korean. It looks like a head of a dragon from far away. Sanbangsan was not that different from those in Korea and going to the summit was not possible... With these reasons, sanbansan was not that good... But the coast was so good... Yes, this is Jeju!!

Location

 There is a ticket booth at the entrance of the Yongmeori. I didn't take a photo... The above pictures are the booth in front of the Sanbangsan. For cost reduction, the workers are not working at the booth... in my opinion.... As you know less tourists are coming nowadays....

 From the entrance, it was so good.... One thing to mention is that from the entrance the good impression was decreasing. But overall it was really good. And I came to regret that I should have come here more earlier before it gets more polluted.  

 : This kind of naturally formed cliffs are not usual. I've never seen anything like this before in Korea... Something you can find in Jeju... Yes...  

 : And the color of the sea water was also very unique. And the sculpture by nature was so unique to me... Maybe it's because I haven't done the travelling enough.... 

 And you can see the clean water... which is not usual in Korea because of the industrialization. I hope this continues but... I don't see the future positively....

 Entrance fee: 1,000 won(1USD). 2,500 won(2.5 USD) including Yongmeori. Not bad. I really like this sweet price. I expected to climb to the summit, which was not...

Location

 Ticket booth is there... and really there is a person who checks the ticket? There was... and checked properly!!!

 Overall divided into two parts, one is the budhist temple in lower part and the upper part close to summit where a small cave paved. And the view from the temple is not bad. And upper part has a small cave, not like a cave... and also a small spring.. and stream.

 : The temple was so ordinary... not special. But small altar in the upper part was a kind of Jeju thing.

 : Here you can see the typical Jeju thing. For this reason this is good place to see. But you cannot go to the summit because around the summit there are fences. 

And also if you came to Korea for the first time, it also good place to see typical Korean budhist temple. The many spored rocks and mountains are typical in Jeju. 

 A budda statue inside of the cave is the typical way of Korean budhism. 

Really bad value per price experience - Marado Submarine

 I would rather watch 5 movies instead of taking the submarine. Long ago, I don't know how it was but now? It was not that good... They have to take some measures, extending submarine hours or something like that.

 I was very surprised... when I found this... What? Taking on a submarine here? I really didn't expect to see this kind of opportunity... Wow!!! And I found the price was a little a burden to me, 55,000 won(about 40 USD). Damn!!!

 But later I was disappointed...

Location

 This experience program is introduced as a main attraction in Jeju on the official web site and also several commercial web sites. Because it's a good chance to see the under the sea around Jeju which were quite good as far as I knew... And to see under the water, you may choose scuba diving, but it was more expensive than this one... But still to me, 55,000 won is expensive...

 Before getting into a submarine, you are going to move by a boat to a point where submarine ankered. If it includes the tour on the island, Marado, the price is really good, enough... but it wasn't... I couldn't put my feet on the island.

 This program went on for quite a long time... more than 10 years, I guess. Recently tourists from China decreased drastically due to the tension between Korea and China on the matter of the SAAD system to be installed in Korean land. The price has been increased much recently but I expect it to decrease... or they make more interesting programs... which is the way they can make more profit...

 : It took about 20 to 30 minutes to get to the submarine point by boat... And to me travelling on a boat was much better than the submarine...  

 : After arriving, you are going to be escourted into the entrance seen in the above pictures. Guests are getting onboard, divers were preparing...

 And after getting into submarine, I started to be disappointed. First, the blurred view through the window was the most disappointing one... And even the window was not clear. In my guess, I could see only about 2 ~ 3m from the window... After that so blurred, I couldn't recognize what's there... 

Another thing is that I can see only two side... not 360 degree... 

 And the fishes also were leaded by food scattered by scuba divers... Without that, almost no fish.... No fish!!! And the Corals? Just 1 or 2 I saw there... And nothing... Yes, probably kids like it.

 And the ray fish... so poor. Definitely animal lovers hate it. It is used that way.... doesn't look good at all. 

 I haven't feel anything of the submarine... Did I take on the submarine? No it's just another aquarium... so limited aquarium... I rather visit aquarium than this... even cheaper price...

 Long ago, it would be really good.. But nowadays, the pollution done by human and development must be the reasons behind this.

A Korean way Pub Review - Oju near the BP Guesthouse

 If I was alone, I would never go there. Why? so expensive to me. I would rather drink a beer at the room or at a convenience store. And also I didn't come to Jeju just to drink a beer... which I can do wherever in Korea 

 I arrived at my first place to sleep in after struggling to get on an airplane in Seoul... And naturally I came to think of drinking a beer... 

The location

It was not bad... just price which I didn't like about this place. Whenever I travel, I try to find something unique here... But I didn't find any here. You already notice that if you have travelled in Korea a little longer, the cities in Jeju are very similar with other cities in Korea... Yes, all cities are very similar in Korea, which is what I hate about Korea. And this pub? or bar also.... same...

 The beer and also the side dishes were good. 

 : As you see, the side dish are not cheap.... rather expensive to me... This is why I just try to buy can beer from a store which is far way cheaper... Anyway you didn't come to Jeju, Korea just to drink a beer... So... 

: Yes, if you want to try Korean way beer pub, you can try here... not bad...
