This is about our virtue system which can be called "culture" or "ethics" or whatever. Part 2

And as a masculinity, in 1990 so called, 'tough guy' was considered as a good guy. And also widespread notion was that men only cry three times for a whole life. If you agreed on it, or your personal value is the same with it, you would pursue it. But if you didn't agree or your personal value is different from it, you would feel some difficulty between the two values. Here I have to point out that we don't know that almost all men or women agreed on it really. (The actual common value can be revealed only after each person speaks out and record it.) Anyway, in those days, men tried hard to pursue those values(personally supposed common value), pretended not to cry and to be strong.

What about women, yes. it's all the same with the cases for men. Modesty, obedience, and the beauty were considered valuable for women. And the pure love and virginity were highly valued then(You can see that on the movies and dramas in the 90ties). In those era, many women used lots of resources for that. Of course, so many women spent much much for the so called beauty.

It doesn't mean that there is no one who tried other values. There have been people who pursued their own personal values regardless what others' value was.

We need to study in what process the personal value actually is turned over to be the actual common value(in other words, the personal value became so obvious to anybody and can show it in public). As time goes, when a new value is very needed, a brave person cries out to public even though the personally supposed common value suppressed it. And then others with a personal value very similar with it comes out to show it. And they realize that others also have the similar value with them. And the personal value becomes a actual common value.

And then why I wrote this, I need to tell you now. I want to show how the media is so that important and how they move and retort the value, especially the personally supposed common value. The candidate election and the so called terrorism were possible through the distorting the common value. In other words, the personal values are suppressed by making powerful personally supposed common value. And also the consensus for the presidential candidates are also distorted for it. This also applies especially to music and entertainment business. If someone successfully make people believe that the song are popular, the song becomes more popular. When people thinks people would like hearing this song, they probable play the song in public more frequently. And the song is exposed to more people than others. Of course, actually so many people like the song. But the survey hasn't been done yet.

The personally supposed common value can be manipulated very easily by using media. The politicians and the powerful people distort the value using the media and make terror when necessary. Right now when I am writing this(July 31, 2013), they are doing their best to do this. And teenagers are very vulnerable to this. This is why the conservative Koreans are so keen to have the power over the education. And also it directly affects the profit of big companies.

The big response reacting against the media control is the emerging the Audition TV programs. The current media manipulates the values to make people think that the 'appearance', 'value to be seen and tangible' is everything. Those medias play an important role of the wide-spread 'lookism' in Korea. In other words, the media controls actively the personally supposed common value.
