Seongsanilchulbong - A little bit disappointing

It's one of the UNESCO Natural Heritages in Jeju... I guess it represents Jeju... But when I got there, I was disappointed...

 Seongsanilchulbong

Just FYI, Seongsan is a name and ilchulbong means 'peak of sunrise'. So Seongsan ilchulbong means "Seongsan Sunrise Peak".

It is the 1st rank of 'things to do' in Tripadviser. After knowing this, I expected something... which turned out to be disappointing. On the summit, it wan't that good than I expected... Rather the wide field before the mountain was very good to me...

On the top of the mt., it was a regular mt. to me, not special. I might choose a wrong season... In Summer, it might be better with all green.

Location

There is a temple before getting there... As a foreigner you might be interested in it... Korean? not that interested as a tourist.

Entrance fee for the mountain is 2,000 won(About 2 USD). In foreign countries, it might be more expensive if it is a major tour attraction... But it's not in Korea.... Usually we think it should be free.

It's the ticket for two people... If you order ticket for more than 2 people, you are getting only 1 ticket for many... I guess it is for saving paper.

I guess, it is better for observation spot, not the nature. You can see the city, Seogwipo there and also sea surrounding. Actually I expected to explore the top of the mountain but it was blocked...

At the top... and after coming down...

: As you see on the top, it looks like a regular mt. field, not special at all... I thought I could walk on the field but it was blocked.

: In terms of the preservation, it would be a good measure to block it. With my reasoning, they decided to block it due to lots of uncontrolled visitors, especially from China. They had to limit the number of the visitors... but they didn't... They preferred profit....

It was a little disappointing... and climbing it was a little hard...due to steep path to the summit... And the next day, I climbed MT. halla, which was a big mistake.... I should have rested before going to the mountain halla.
