From Chungmuro Station to Hanok Town in Namsangol, Part 3

 : In fact, I planned just to visit Doosung Paper Shop but had some time left... And decided to go to the Hanok Town by foot. The following is the route I walked on. But in the map the route from Hunryeonwon Park to Jeontail Bridge is missing. I couldn't put it because of some blocked ways... This is actually very good walking route... or tour route...around Chungmooro

 It's very attractive. Just 60 or 70 years ago, those kinds of houses were abundant everywhere in Korea... But now... it's not easy to see... those...

 Yes, we made a big mistake to dump ours... We worshiped western cultures... formed by mass media in Korea. 

 From now, please don't do that... Let's keep ours.. our traditions as long as we can... First we have to know ourselves and then others... Right?

From Chungmuro Station to Hanok Town in Namsangol, Part 2

 : Now we live in a different way and house from the past... But still some people keep their life style in Korea such as Cheonghakdong... 

 This is why the education is very important. When I was at school, I wasn't told anything about our traditions...much... or experienced... It's a very bad... After long years 20 or 25 years later... I came to know of Korean traditional...things such as dance, musical instruments and so on... 

 The Korean house seems to be privately owned. It's not a national or city owned...

  This is really good place for tourists and also the citizens to see and walk. There are many things to enjoy.

 There were also art works which are not harmonized in the park... strange..

 I guess modern people, we are not patient or not comfortable in the space... or spacial room... This is why the managers put something there..

 I can bring up many things to put such as traditional well, toilets, temple, horse house and so on..

From Chungmuro Station to Hanok Town in Namsangol, Part 1

 : There are many things to see around the Subway Station, Chungmuro. It seems to be a center of Tourism in Korea.... lots of tourists... especially Chinese...

 I found there a clean Guesthouse and the "Korean House". I was supposed to go to Hanok Town but... I dropped by the Korean House... I wanted to have lunch at a Chungkukjang Restaurant but not enough time and not that hungry. 

 I thought it's built by Tax money... but it seemed to be run by a private sector.

 How do I feel for this house? How wonderful the traditional house is. Why did we give up these good things.... If I were rich, I should live here... In Chosun Dynasty, the rich and so called Yangban lived in this kind of house... 

 And the houses where we live now is far from the Nature, some romantic features and idealism... Damn Korea again.

Seoul Hunryeonwon(Training Center) Park, Jeon Taeil and the Cheonkyechon

 : I don't know why the park has the name, Hunryeonwon... but this must be related with the near US military base, I thought... There were many youngsters riding a skateboard... And also well managed...

 And I met the Statue of Jeon Taeil who immolated himself to scream out, "Keep the labor standard laws" holding the law book on one hand in 1970. Now he is a symbol of labor movement in Korea... He ignited the movement in Korea....

 There is no way directly to pass through the military base to Cheonkeychon from the park... And the live sounds of living, sound of machines and people made me feel that I live in human world... Active commercial activities... Yes, you can see it there...

Inside of the park

 What I felt from the Cheongkyechon was the power of the Nature and Life... How much we do something to change the Nature, it has a power to recover... Only it take time... For the while, who suffers from it are the people themselves... Above all, the scenery which Nature gives us is far better than that which we made...

 We people fucked up the Earth and the Nature recovers... Damn... We should be punished extremely and then realize.... And the current Cheonkyechon is projected by politicians and lots of tax money went to pockets of several people...

 News is saying that Korean economy is worse or bad... but if you see these, you can't help thinking that it's very alive... Yes, it's dynamic Korea.
